Removable media
Removable media should be disabled unless there is a business case for is use.
This includes media such as:
- Floppies
- CDs/ DVDs
- External HDDs
- USB memory sticks
- Media card readers
Where access is to be allowed, appropriate control software should be considered to mitigate risk, and "on-access" virus scanning should be enabled.
