Web Browsers

Web browsers MUST NOT run in the context of a privileged user and unless there is a valid business case, the following should be disabled:

  • ActiveX controls
  • Active content (JavaScript, VBScript, etc)
  • HTTPS web access
  • Java Virtual Machine

Content should be inspected for spyware at the host.
